Science Excellence Peer Adviser
My name is Natalia Gonzalez Huerta and I use she/her/hers pronouns. I am a 3rd year Chemistry major with a concentration in biochemistry. I am a first generation student on the pre-health track and some of the things I like to do are workout, cook for my family and friends and host dinners! I am from the Yosemite National Park area so I love being outside in nature whether that’s tidepooling or just being at the beach here at Santa Cruz or taking a hike and or camping back home or here. Another thing I like to do is ski. I also really enjoy chemistry. I am fascinated by how chemistry is the foundation of life. What I am most excited about being a peer mentor is getting to talk to students and being able to help students navigate classes. I am a very social person and love to interact and meet new people! I know school can be stressful and trying to figure everything out by yourself while also stressing about classes is hard and I am so happy that I can be someone students can trust and come to for help, guidance or just someone to talk to.
